The vision of the city encompasses three main pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic and social.
The masterplan is planned and designed to promote social interaction by providing a variation of active and commercial spaces together with relax and green areas. This structure increase community interaction creating a sense of inclusiveness and stewardship.
Some of the environmental benefits include recycling waste water on site for irrigation, onsite waste management, the enforcement of a zero emission zone and wide application of solar panels integrated in the glass facades.
The main façade of the buildings foresee the application of solar panel systems integrated into double glazing. The material is transparent or colored and lets the natural light through in.
WT Project design "umbrella canopies" to cover an area of the masterplan. Considering the hot weather typical if this area, the umbrellas were designed to harvest the sun's energy whilst also providing shade and nebulizing water. The "Urban Forest" will also reduce gas emissions by encouraging people to cycle and walk.
An integrated system of eco-mobility facilitate the connections between buildings and with the city.
