The museum is situated in an idyllic location, overlooking Lake Zurich. The growing public interest in this museum has led to a large and modern expansion of the museum, which was inaugurated in 2007. The expansion required the design of a new entrance that had a strong stylistic connotation, but that was integrated with the existing architecture. An emerald green parallelepiped in silk-screened glass was the design solution adopted. In the evening, this parallelepiped, thanks to the internal lighting system, turns into a luminous emerald.
